Monsters vs Aliens

With all star voices, a cute story, and featured in 3D, Monsters vs. Aliens is sure to be huge.

It is the happiest day of Susan's (voice of Reese Witherspoon) life, her wedding day.

Unfortunately, as she is getting some fresh air, she is hit by a giant radioactive meteor, which turns her into a giant. She is captured by the government and taken to a secret facility where she will live out the rest of her life with the other captured monsters.

There is a half-human, half-insect scientist named Dr. Cockroach Ph. D (voice of Hugh Laurie), a reptilian creature called The Missing Link (voice of Will Arnett), an indestructible blob called B.O.B (voice of Seth Rogen), and a giant bug called Insectosaurus. After Susan accepts that there are real monsters and she is living with them, she gets to know them and they become friends.

After a giant robot starts attacking San Francisco, the monsters are released to try and stop the robot and save the people. Susan suddenly likes the feeling of being important and special and finally accepts her fate as Ginormica; a heroine.

Unfortunately, an alien named Gallaxhar (voice of Rainn Wilson), who sent the robot, wants all of the meteor's radioactive energy, Quantonium, for himself, so he abducts Susan so that he can extract the energy out of her. After returning to her normal size, Susan is left with a difficult decision; either go back to her old life and get married or fight back and save her new friends.

3D movies are definitely the future for animated films. It makes the experiences so much better. While the story was obviously geared toward a younger audience, there were some additions that would only be recognizable to an older generation; for example how each of the monsters came it be is a reference to older classics like Godzilla, Creature From the Black Lagoon and The Fly. This, along with other parts made the movie more enjoyable for a wider audience. By far it is the detail in the movie and the 3D effect that steal the show.

Other stars who lent their voices to this movie are Kiefer Sutherland, Stephen Colbert, Paul Rudd, Amy Phoehler, and Renee Zellweger. I recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys 3D animated movies and light hearted and fun films.

Final Words: Saw it. Liked it. Seth Rogen makes B.O.B the best ever! Diana, Good luck and Farewell, you will be missed!!!
