Campus thefts increasingly Dodge-y

Campus Security Services is reporting an increase in vehicle thefts at Fanshawe College’s London campus, according to a media release.

Two older Dodge pickup trucks have been stolen on campus in January, while no vehicles have been stolen last semester. Thirty-nine pickup trucks have been stolen in the city between January 1 and 30. Only 12 were stolen during the same period of time last year.

“Do everything that you can to secure your vehicle(s),” said Fanshawe Spec. Const. Brent Arseneault.

Campus Security Services advises to never leave running vehicles unattended, to park in well-lit areas, to never leave valuables in plain sight and to keep vehicle registration and proof of insurance with you at all times.

Suspicious activities should be reported to Campus Security Services at 519-452-4242.
