The Heel Turn: Time to give the strap to AJ

At TNA's Against All Odds PPV only one championship title changed hands. The first match of the event was supposed to be triple threat bout between Generation Me and Robbie E to decide a number one contender for the X-Division title. Unfortunately, travel issues lead to Generation Me being stuck in Utah. This was fixed by having Robbie E go against the champ Kazarian right then and there, with Kaz retaining the X-Division strap. This is a good thing, since until he loses that unnecessary Jersey Shore gimmick, Robbie E just does not make a credible champion.

Samoa Joe and the Pope continued their vicious feud, and Joe made Pope tap out by locking him in the kokina clutch, only to be layed out by the devious Pope afterwards.

Mickie James had an opportunity to take the Knockouts title away from Madison Rayne in a Last Knockout Standing match. The match went back and forth, with Mickie doing all she could to avoid the loaded glove that Madison wears, until she finally knocked Madison down with the Mick- Kick. Of course, Tara came out to distract the ref from making the 10-count. This allowed Madison to get back up and deck Mickie with a pair of brass knuckles she had hidden, and in doing so she walked out still being the Knockouts champion.

Rob Van Dam was victorious over Matt Hardy. Incidentally Matt has been taking credit for TNA's recent ratings boost. Guess he must be on the same drugs as his brother, Jeff, if he thinks that!

Bully Ray pinned Devon, and even went so far as to brutalize Devon's sons, who had gotten involved in the violent feud between the Dudley brothers.

There was a highly questionable stipulation attached to the fight between Kurt Angle and Jeff Jarrett. If Kurt won, then he would get sole custody of his kids. If Kurt lost, then he would have to give Karen away to Jeff as they renewed their wedding vows on March 3. This is an objectionable storyline as the kids really shouldn't be dragged into the animosity that is festering between Kurt, Jeff and Karen. Double J managed to win this, though, and Kurt left his boots in the ring as perhaps a symbolic gesture of leaving the business.

The main event of Against All Odds was a ladder match between Jeff Hardy and Mr. Anderson, a style of match that Hardy has plenty of experience with. TNA made the extremely baffling decision to put the heavyweight championship back on Hardy, even though the drug charges he is facing have still not been resolved. What's going to happen when he has to go away for awhile? Fact is, Hardy should not be anywhere near the belt until this situation is dealt with and he starts living a cleaner lifestyle. Hopefully the company comes to its senses and gives the top spot to someone who's more deserving, like AJ Styles for example.
