The women's basketball team is gearing up for a playoff push, and a big part of the push will be Whitney Harris.

Harris is mainly a bench player who comes into the game. "The team needs me to lead because I am one of the more mature players ... I have played for a while," she said.

Currently in the respiratory therapy program, Harris is hoping to obtain a career in that field. When she begins her next year of the program, she's looking to return to the team as a starter and a leader, as the Falcons will lose multiple players after this year.

As for this year, Harris is looking to gear up for provincials in a couple of weeks. If the Falcons want to be a serious contender, they will need Harris and the rest of the ladies to step up with big games.
