Success doesn't come easy for lady Falcons hoopsters

The lady basketball Falcons have started the season 2-1 despite underwhelming play.

Recent games have shown the lady's lacking ball movement that helps lead to points. From watching their style of play you can easily see the skill level on the team, but how can they maximize what they are capable of to full capacity?

Fanshawe's Alison Griffiths drives to the net during Fanshawe's 59-39 Halloween waxing of Algoma. The win improved the Falcons to 2-1Some may think team work, and yes, teamwork is a huge factor but truly it is the chemistry of the players and how they play together. Yes that can fall into the teamwork category but if you ever look at truly successful teams it all breaks down to the true chemistry of each individual player. From knowing who is capable of what to who can produce under pressure to who you can rely on.

Teamwork is a true definition of sticking together as a team win or lose, chemistry is what bonds the players together to be able to work as a team. The lady Falcons have such a high energy level and by watching them play you can see there is a genuine feeling of team, and they are able to communicate well with one another but from recent games have shown that something isn't connecting.

To have a legitimate opportunity to win the OCAA championship tournament the lady's will have to give it their all. The coach still has a lot of work cut out for him to have his team reach the top but I think this squad has all the potential to show the competition they are true winners and a strong competitive team.
