Opened just under six months ago as London's first and only vegan restaurant, not serving animal products is but only one of the distinctions that sets Veg Out apart from London's other eateries. Unlike the mass-produced fare typical of our city's seemingly endless supply of generic food joints, Veg Out's menu consists entirely of home-made meals prepared with local and fair-trade organic ingredients.

Conceptualized by innovative master chef Florine Morrison, originally of Stratford, from freshly-squeezed juices and smoothies, to vegan hot wings and organic beers and wines, on any given night you will undoubtedly discover that Veg Out's green patio is bursting at the seams.

But that's not all this Richmond Row operation has in store. Catering to breakfast lovers and connoisseurs of sweets alike, Veg Out is proud to serve an all day scramble, as well as offer an array of mouth-watering, yet wholesome, dessert options such as vegan cheesecake, muffins, and even creme brûlée. It's also worth mentioning that many of Morrison's food creations are available in gluten-free and raw forms for the more picky of patrons.

Prior to her residency in our downtown core, Morrison successfully held the reins behind a dining enterprise of a similar style in her hometown, at the age of 19. It was through this venture where she managed to hone her craft for eco-friendly, health- and wildlife-conscious cooking.

Morrison is noted, in particular, for her “World Famous Fish & Chips” recipe (actually beer battered soy fillets that are so good you'd swear you're eating the real thing). Even if imitation meats aren't your preference, Veg Out offers loads of other options for the less adventurous, including: zucchini pasta, spanakopitas, bean burgers, and a Thai peanut power bowl that's packed with punch.

Open every day (except Mondays) at 11:30 a.m., and located at 646 Richmond near Pall Mall, vegetarian or not, Veg Out's a venue that proves being a vegetable (that is, if you are what you proverbially eat) doesn't have to be a bad thing.
