Your Spring break trip is booked. You've bought the appropriate luggage, bikinis, sunscreen and the latest issue of Elle Canada. The only thing you're uncertain about is your travel ensemble. A common query travellers have is what to wear while traveling, especially when departing a cooler climate and arriving in a much warmer climate. Of course, comfort is number one when it comes to traveling, but smart style is also very essential.

Dressing in layers is key when changing climates. A tee-shirt with a neutral oversized cardigan is easy to shed in the heat, and will keep you cozy during your flight. A lightweight scarf is a versatile traveling piece for any destination. Not only will it add some fashion appeal to your outfit, but it also can double as a pillow or blanket on the plane.

Looking chic and pulled together is often compromised by comfort, but that doesn't have to be the case, both are easily attainable.

For bottoms, I suggest a pair of medium wash straight jeans with lycra for added comfort. The length of the pant will keep your legs warm during your travel to the airport and during your flight. Upon your arrival, your jeans can be neatly rolled up to Capri length to adjust to the heat.

As for footwear, comfortable shoes that can be worn with socks are a must. Ballerina flats are ideal for travel and can be easily slipped on and off. The socks will keep your toes and ankles warm during the flight and can be easily removed before landing.

Carry on luggage is another topic of concern; what is an appropriate size, what will be the easiest to carry etc. Cross body bags make the perfect carry all for any trip, they are light weight and easy to lug around. The cross body strap leaves your hands free so you can easily access your passport and boarding pass. Plus, you'll have plenty of room and easy access to traveling essentials such as hand sanitizer, 100 cal. snack packs and Go Smile's touch ups. What's more, cross body carryalls are spacious and can double as a purse to help minimize the number of bags you have to keep track of.

Pull your air wear together with a pair of UV protective sunnies and a generous bottle of sunscreen.

Happy reading week!
