Exec Corner: Hey, don't knock my Halloween spirit!

Halloween is here!!!!. I can't believe how excited I am. I think Halloween got better when I moved out. And I have no idea why that is. Halloween may even be my favourite holiday, although Christmas is an incredibly close second.

I feel like this was my first weekend off since school started and I spent the entire time decorating for Halloween. (There goes at least one textbook next semester!:) I also went online and checked out all of the Halloween TV specials for the week. My parents used to tape them all for me and now I can tape them for…myself? So far this week I taped: Tuesday night, 8pm, Charlie Brown's Halloween, Friday night 7.30pm Twitches, Saturday night 8pm, Simpsons Halloween Bash, Sunday morning 7am-8pm (yeah, that's right, 13 hours) of YTV's cartoon Halloween specials. Side note: City of London is out of blank tapes.

Last week I decorated my office space as well. Broomstick, candy dish, Halloween grab bag, candle holder (not lit, so don't call Health and Safety on me) and a large 3-D image witch crashing into a wall. And I know it is funny and also a little lame. But don't knock me because I have spirit, I bet everyone has that Halloween spirit in them that they want to bring out; they just need a little encouragement!

So this Halloween, go all out. Go to the dollar store, grab some decorations, get together and bond with your roomies over tombstones and spiderwebs. There is truly no better way to get to know someone until you have seen how they react to the fake severed body part that you put on their floor while they were sleeping.

I'll be at the Halloween pub Monday night, dressed as SuperGirl. I'll be on the arm of a very sexy Austin Powers so be sure to say “Boo” if you see me. Happy Halloween!
