Japan Bound

Cultural Exchange winners Anthony Schaefer and Sylvia Nagy took flight to Japan last month to participate in a month-long international study program at Ibaraki University. From May 4-to-June 5, 2008 Schaefer, who recently graduated from the Music Industry Arts program, and Nagy, who has just graduated from the Electronics Engineering Technician (Robotics and Automation) Program, will be living with host families while taking classes in basic Japanese, intercultural communication and related activities and seminars.

This exchange is intended to promote the understanding and deepening of friendship between countries, the institution and the students of Fanshawe College. Schaefer and Nagy are very excited about their opportunity and their experiences will focus on social welfare through living and learning experiences.
