Welcome to Fanshawe College.

I have lived in London all my existence and I guarantee you will love it here. As your fashion “go—to-girl” I will help you, Fanshawe students, spend your money wisely. For proof that I am worthy of guiding you through the complicated world of fashion, I am taking the Fashion Merchandising program here at Fanshawe. I will personally investigate the best place to buy jeans, active wear, jewelry, salons etc, absolutely everything and anything that falls under the fashion umbrella.

I will single handily make sure you are best dressed everywhere you go. I always will be looking around the halls eyeing everyone up to see who has the best personal style and will snap your picture so I can put a picture of you in my column.

Personal style never goes out of fashion and you deserve credit! I live on a healthy diet of fashion magazines to keep everyone up to date with current trends for both guys and girls. I highly recommend purchasing an SPC card, because it gives you awesome deals at a wide range of places in London (remember to bring student id). As a first year student at Fanshawe, I just can't wait to get started. As a child I grew up, like most of you, watching commercials for back to school in August and being worried that if I did not have a “back-to-school outfit” or “first-day-of-school outfit,” I might as well not have gone the first day. Luckily, my parents caved into the commercials, and me, and took me to the nearest Wal-Mart to pick out an acceptance outfit for the next grade.

As I grew up into my oh-so-savvy fashion self, I realized the best fashion statement was to show up on the first day wearing an outfit I wore many times the previous year. Then the second day is when I pull out my masterpiece of an outfit. Why?

Because no one cares or even sees what other people are wearing on the first day of classes. All anyone can think about is how nervous you are and where the heck you need to go for your next class.

So fellow Fanshawe students , I encourage you to totally throw the idea of wearing something nice on the first day, even week, out and focus on survival. Just worry about setting your alarm, your food intake and your class room numbers. Other than the first day/ week, with my fashion knowledge, I have got you covered for the rest of the year!
