Gore to speak in London

May 31 brings forward collaboration between former U.S Vice President Al Gore and London's own St. Joseph's Health Care Foundation.

Based on the motion picture “An Inconvenient Truth” released in 2006, Gore's presentation will take place at the London Convention Centre, followed by audience question and answer. The foundation hopes to widen the eyes of the London community on environmental issues.

President and CEO of St. Joseph's Health Care, Cliff Nordal, believes very strongly in the impact Gore's message will have upon the audience attending the presentation.

“There is a public need to hear Vice President Gore's message,” said Nordal. “There is irrefutable evidence of a connection between chronic health problems and the environment.”

In honour of Gore's visit to London, Post Carbon London will be presenting a free screening of “An Inconvenient Truth” at 7 p.m. on May 31 at the Landon Library, 167 Wortley Rd. Following the film there will be a discussion with the London community in order to initiate action and provide means of protecting our environment and improving our personal health.
