March is Women's History Month, while International Women's Day falls on and is celebrated March 8.

The Day is a focal point for all the women in the world and for the women's rights movement.

Here is a little history lesson for you, on Feb. 28, 1909 a Socialist party of America organized a Women's Day in New York, then in 1910 the International Socialist Women's Conference suggested that a Women's Day be held annually. International Women's Day is where we come to celebrate the amazing social, cultural, economic and political achievements of women all around the world. Below are a few ideas of what you can do to help celebrate International Women's Day.

1. Throw an International Women's Day party
