Lady wins Red Green Duct Tape award

For the first time ever a woman has won the presitgious Red Green Duct Tape award for her innovative luggage rack, and avoiding OPP officers on the 400 series highway.

Marilyn Scotchgard was helping her son move into Fanshawe's Falcon House at the start of the school year from Peterborugh Ontario, when she needed a quick fix to tie down her son's luggage on the roof of her beat up and worn down car.

“I'm really honoured to win this award,” said Scotchgard. “I think women can be inventive in the way we use duct tape just like men. I use duct tape all the time. In fact it's patched the hole in my gas tank just fine.”
