Hasbro's Monopoly to contribute to greater stupidity
Boy, if you think those working in retail these days can't count out change, just wait.
Hasbro has released a new version of the Monopoly board game. “We started looking at what Monopoly would look like if we designed it today,” said a Hasbro spokesman. “We noticed consumers are using debit cards, carrying around cash a lot less.”
This updated version comes with credit cards and debit machines to simulate transactions. It's bad news for consumers who would hope that a calculator would not be needed to break simple change
