Are you aware of your rights and responsibilities here at Fanshawe College?

Fanshawe College was pleased to introduce a Rights and Responsibilities Statement in 2010. This document was created in a way that promotes proper behaviour at Fanshawe College by outlining expectations of all community members. This means you, as a student, have several rights to know and understand and several responsibilities to follow.

This new statement was created so community members will a better understanding of what the College expect and what the College is expecting from community members, primarily the students.

The statement not only promotes proper behavior, it also includes guidelines on the proper way for students and staff to act. This means there will be fair treatment for everyone, a key principle that the Office of the Ombuds promotes within the College community.

Understanding the Rights and Responsibilities Statement is important for all of us to know what is fair. The full statement may be viewed in your student planner, as well as online at tinyurl.com/c86ecc7.
