Take a trip to see New York with the Fanshawe Student Union.

Explore Times Square, see Broadway shows and take a walk through Central Park — the Fanshawe Student Union is organizing a trip to New York and you're invited.

From February 22 to 25, 2013, guests will stay in the Edison Hotel, an Art Deco hotel right in Times Square. Four guests will be assigned to each room, and each room contains two double beds. At least one guest must be a Fanshawe student, but students can bring as many guests as they like. Four guests must register together to fill up each room, as one- and two-person suites are not available.

"You can't go to New York for any cheaper than this," said John Young, the FSU's Operations Manager, who has organized the trip for years. The three-day, two-night trip costs $285 for Fanshawe students and $310 for non-students, which includes travel, accommodations, taxes and insurance. Non-students must be 19 plus to attend, and underage students must have a consent form cosigned by a parent or guardian. All guests must put down a $150 non-refundable deposit upon signing up for the trip, and the final payment is due in January.

Young has been to New York over 30 times, and is a go-to resource for what to do (and what to avoid) in the big city. "If you love culture, museums, food and excitement — take Toronto times 20, and you've got New York City."

Grab three friends and head to the Biz Booth to sign up after October 8 — and hurry, because space is limited and this annual trip frequently sells out by the end of the month.
