Women confident as first half draws to a close

With work still to be done on developing as a team, the women's volleyball team has started off very strong.

Winning four out of the first five games, the women are playing very well, but still have room to improve. They still need to work on their team chemistry and team defence in practice, but considering how young the team is and how much work they still need to be a complete team, it is impressive that they are doing so well.

The team knew from the beginning that they had a great group of women who had a ton of potential and great attitude towards the game.

Coach Mark Peckham who is a first-year coach for the team is doing a fantastic job as head coach, showing the team how to play a strong team game and creating a great environment to play and learn volleyball. Peckham's love for the game and desire to win are leading the women to a very strong start to the season.

With their November 16 win over St. Clair, the women are going into their final games feeling confident. Remember the Falcons need your support more than ever to finish off the first half of the season as strong as possible, so come down and check game times at the Athletic Office or online at tinyurl.com/womensvball2011.
