Students may see a familiar face walking the halls of Fanshawe.

Former London mayor Anne Marie DeCicco-Best has been announced as the successful candidate for the public affairs specialist in the marketing and corporate communications department.

She will hold the position for three to six months and help in the development of a long-term advocacy plan for the college.

She will also be a part of the Emergency Communications Management planning and other college projects.

DeCicco-Best is an alumni of Fanshawe College and a recipient of Fanshawe's Distinguished Alumni Award.

"We are pleased to welcome Anne Marie back to the college and look forward to her assistance, experience and insight as we develop some long-range communications plans and strategies over the next few months," said Leanne Perreault, corporate communication manager at Fanshawe College.
