Michael Wolski is in the general business program in his second year at Fanshawe. Wolski says he is generally an easy going individual with a massive passion for music. One of the only guys you can see walking down the street from a mile away from his height. Organized yet impulsive in which allows him to be a generally responsible, trustworthy person yet at the same time crazy and odd.

1. Why are you here?
I am at Fanshawe to have more experience. Not only am I gaining an education and discovering how much my liver can handle. I am also learning how to push myself to get better in most situations and to become a better person.

2. What was your life changing moment?
When I saw Neil Peart play his drum solo on the Snakes and Arrows tour in 2008. It's when I knew I wanted to be a musician. Plus have you seen that drum kit?

3. What music are you currently listening to?
Architects - A heavy metalcore band from the UK. Although extremely heavy with distortive tones and fast beats...it gives you a great kick to your day with your coffee. Generally I listen to many different bands though.

4. What is the best piece of advice you've ever received?
“Don't take everything someone says so personally...chances are, they're still drunk from the night before.” - Chuck.

5. Who is your role model?
Most role models come from bands seeing as all I want to do is play/make music. My Major role model right now I'd have to say is Dan Searle (drummer from Architects) he just goes ape$#@! and I love it.

6. Where in the world have you traveled?
I've been to quite a few places. Ranging from Toronto to Winnipeg To Ottawa to Germany. Mostly I stay in Canada though. I plan to travel more in Europe once I am able to pay off any debt I have and keep enough money to travel.

7. What was your first job?
I worked as a ramp agent in my hometown's airport. There were only about three of us there and it was really an easy job. Still managed to pull it off as hard working though!

8. What would your last meal be?
I'd have to go to Gino's. That and I'd be washing it down with JD.

9. What makes you uneasy?
Many things make me uneasy. The one thing I get most uneasy about are terrible musicians that think they're good. If you don't know you're rudiments...you're just a guy with two sticks.

10. What is your passion?
My instrument will always be drums - connecting beats and transitions with different rudiments and crazy tempos make me tick. Music in general just makes me who I am. My life is a soundtrack and I know music will always be a major part of my life.
