Star Wars franchise markets another
I decided to write about another smooth toy that I picked up recently. Actually, to say that it's a toy is misleading. For the last 2 years, Hasbro has been producing the Unleashed line, which is basically 8 inch (or so) Star Wars statues.
The neat thing about these statues is that whether they're in the packaging or not, they look sweet! This Darth Vader statuette is the third Vader they've produced (I think) and it's simply amazing.
The pose of the statue is Vader jumping down a set of stairs with his cape flailing and his lightsaber raised above his head, ready to strike.
The sculpt of the statue is dead-on with the actual Vader costume. People who are crazier Star Wars fans than me will have a hard time finding any flaw with the sculpt or the paint application on this thing.
At $25 bucks, the Unleashed line is a little pricy, but then again, for well sculpted statues, you do get what you pay for…especially with Darth Vader. Who can resist anything with Vader on it?
