Ladies looking for the perfect rock?

What college student doesn't have two hours a week to spare?

If you think you have what it takes, then come show off your skills and be part of the women's curling team at Fanshawe.

It's fun, motivating and team- centred and you can be part of a diverse group of young women who aim to succeed on the ice.

With games just once a week at the London Curling Club, women's curling is rapidly becoming the ‘it' sport among colleges in Ontario.

According to head women's curling coach Tina Sturgeon, the women's curling team is a sport where “long lasting relationships are made.”

Women who have prior experience are highly encouraged to come out and be part of a team that's aiming to go all the way to nationals.

Sturgeon remains optimistic the women's curling team at Fanshawe will outrank opposing teams in the league as they stride toward a medal when nationals take place in February.

Sturgeon is 100 per cent willing to put forth the effort needed to spend one on one time with new and existing players as they progress on the women's curling team.

Light travel is involved with the team and equipment is provided for women who wish to participate in the sport.

For women curlers interested in joining the Fanshawe women's curling team should stop by the Oasis and have a chat with Tina the coffee lady and get additional info on how you can be part of this wonderful opportunity.
