Lady Falcons strut their skills

The lady Falcons basketball team have hit the ground running as the squad is looking stronger, faster and more competitive.

This year fans should expect to see an improved team with a focus on a strong defense that will be tough to beat, a fast offense that will look to push the ball up the court to make plays and put up points.

Another plus to this year's team will be the returning veteran, Allison Griffiths, as she is one of Ontario's top point guards. Griffiths brings a great level of skill to the team, providing smooth passes while having great court vision, and has all the right elements for success.

Another returning veteran that you should keep an eye on is Jessica Finlay. Her hard work and dedication to the team shows up on the game sheet with rebounds, assists and points. As the season has started, also look for the girls to practice hard and play even harder.

Head coach Matt White is looking to take the girls all the way this year. White feels confident this year's team has all the right skills and tools to be number one.

Another pair of players to keep an eye on are: Alissa Medieros, a strong player at both ends of the court and Jordan Gubbels, also a hard worker who can produce as well.
