Care enough to write your MP

In the news today; Fiddy Cent is makin' a movie yo that…gasp, glorifies gun violence, the White Sox won the World Series, and Harry Potter is battling evil once again in $500 trillion special effects extravaganza. Oh, and in less important news, Andrew C. Revkin of the New York Times recently wrote an article about a record loss of sea ice in the Arctic this summer, convincing scientists that the Northern Hemisphere may have crossed a critical threshold beyond which the climate may never recover. But what would you care, right?

Maybe you'll care about this. After 9/11 the Bush administration lied about having any knowledge of a possible attack on the United States. Specifically one that involved flying large planes into buildings. The North American public swallowed it up. After the devastation of New Orleans, Bush denied having any prior knowledge that the dam levee was in need of repair. The North American public swallowed it up. Well, the threat of nuclear war continues to be ignored by the top government officials in both Canada and the United States. Will they deny having any prior knowledge of this probability once a coastal city is wiped off the map? This threat is real and our government is doing nothing. Please remove your head from your rectum. Why not write your MP? Ask them what to do about it. Maybe you'll be sent in the right direction.
