What things do you need to improve on for next season?
I'm a middle player, and one thing is my quickness.

How are you preparing for the season?
We get some cardio in and lift weights to get back in some sort of shape.

Do you miss it during off-season?
I do, yeah. I'm always scratching a play. Constantly playing beach volleyball during the summer.

How long have you been playing?
Since grade three or four.

What got you started?
My dad plays a lot of volleyball, he used to play for Fanshawe 20-something years ago.

What's your motivation?
Just gratification of winning championships.

What's your schedule like?
This semester its not too bad. Volleyball is pretty busy, between 10-15 hours a week plus games and traveling.

Any injuries?
This season? No. A few sprained ankles, nothing too serious.

Favourite thing about volleyball?
I guess when I'm playing, its my own personal release of school. Having a good time.

How do you handle losing?
Just hit the gym the next day and work better the next game. Watching game tapes help a lot.

Best memory?
Made Provincials this year.

Do you have a special diet?
I try to stay away from junk food. I eat pasta the day before a game.

Worst thing about it?
The time set aside towards it. I could spend more time on studies.

Do you have a lot of support?
I do, members of my family, program, friends and old teammates.

Do you ever feel like quitting?
No. I think it's kind of strange to think about the day of not playing volleyball.

Play other sports?
Yes. Basketball, golf, tennis and soccer.

What are your future plans?
With volleyball, just knowing the level of competition, and playing in OCAA. Getting into the Police Force.

What differs volleyball from other sports?
To me, I feel like I have more of a natural talent than other sports.

Who's your number one fan?
My dad, for sure. There's only been a few games that he missed since grade four.

Favourite athlete?
I don't know, Shaq.
