Poetry: All in the mind

Imagination

I admire you whom comes when there is no joy
And you bring a world into my mind, which makes me glad
I can stare at the sky and imagine a place of kindness and gladness
You are always with me when I lie to sleep and when I awake in the morning
I have known you by name for I have befriended you over all these years
But then I awake into reality and you are no where to be seen
You leave silently and cause my wish to fall upon deaf ears
Yet I forgive you time and time again and hope for your return
You are my imagination dwelling always in my mind

Memories

I hear your echoes resounding in my mind
Echoing memories of old unknown to me
Flooding me with strange emotions and thoughts
Feeding my mind with doubts and disbelief
When all this befalls me I sit and ponder
Feeling like an alien among the sons of man
Clouding my mind with dreams as I slumber
What shall I call you foreign feelings?
Shall I say that thou art my believe resounding ever so near?
Drowning me with thoughts and emotions

Conscience

At times I find that we are in battle
Constantly fighting each other
When we should be working together
At times I find that we are not one
When you seem to have a life of your own
Freeing yourself from reality, space and time
I have allowed as to part in order to survive
Yet in my solitude I remember my youth
When you and I where one, carefree and joyous
