I Love You, Man

Stars Paul Rudd and Jason Segel make I Love You, Man gut wrenchingly hilarious and a must see for everyone.

Peter Klaven (Paul Rudd) has found the love of his life, Zooey (Rashida Jones), so he chooses to purpose to her. Overhearing a little girl talk, Peter discovers his fiancé's worries about his lack of male friends. ‘Lack' meaning none whatsoever.

Determined to please his bride-to-be, Peter makes it his goal in life to find a male best friend. He gets advice from his family, asking his mother and brother to lead him in the right direction. After a series of disappointing and disturbing “man dates”, Peter is almost ready to give up. That is until he meets Sydney Fife (Jason Segel) at an open house.

Sydney is a go with the flow, live life how you want to kind of guy. Peter quickly becomes close friends with Sydney, who opens Peter's eyes to the wonderful world of male bonding. Jam sessions, dog walking, concerts and lessons in yelling make these two guys virtually inseparable.

However, his new friendship starts to put a strain on his relationship with Zooey. Peter is left with a difficult decision, a true best friend or the love of his life.

This movie was amazingly funny! Rudd (Role Models) and Jason Segel (Forgetting Sarah Marshall) are two of the funniest people in movies today, so it only makes sense that a movie starring the two of them as leads would be a hit.

Rudd's character is a very awkward person and I was in awe of how talented he is to be able to make the audiences feel so truly awkward along with him.

Segel, as always, is awesome to watch on screen. Wielding comedy, instead of the classic leading man good looks, actually makes his characters more lovable and endearing.

I recommend this movie to anyone who is a fan of Rudd and Segel and are looking for a good laugh.

Final Words: Saw it. Loved it. “I slappa da bass.”
