Students to show, wear, art
This fun-filled evening is slated for Thursday, March 26th at the Music Hall (185 Queens Ave.). Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m.
The students have been working around the clock to present creative, innovative and fun garments that are sure to be enjoyed by fashion lovers of all ages. The pieces will be created from recycled goods and unconventional materials and will portray one of the four elements — earth, wind, fire and water. Prizes will be awarded to the most outstanding and innovative designs. Last year's show left the Music Hall buzzing!
A portion of the show proceeds will be donated to the charitable organization Spread the Net (www.spreadthenet.org) partnered with UNICEF Canada and co-chaired by Belinda Stronach and Rick Mercer. By purchasing mosquito nets, this charity's purpose is to help prevent children in Liberia and Rwanda from contracting Malaria-a deadly disease transmitted through mosquito bites. By purchasing 500,000 mosquito bed nets at $10 each, we can help to save 50 000 children's lives. This is a simple, effective and inexpensive way to make a big difference-saving lives, one net at a time.
Please join us on Thursday, March 26th for an entertaining evening of wearable art fashion. You're guaranteed to be wowed!
