Poetry: Nature's Gift

Tree
There once was a lonely tree whom no one cared for
Next to him were other trees tall and fair
He stood in the middle between all of them
Yet his appearance was plain and he was small
Everyday someone would come and marvel at all the other trees
No one would look at him or care to touch his leafs
When all the people were gone he would weep silently
He wanted to be admired just like all the others
One day she came and stood in front of him
She leaned her head on his body and silently cried
I know what its like to be lonely and not loved
Her lips touched him ever so gentle as her arms held him tight
For the first time the tree felt like he was needed
And out of one of his branches he grew a beautiful apple
The women gazed upon the apple and was filled with joy
For he was the only tree who had an apple grown on its branch
Know that beauty does not come from the outside but from the within

Lily
There you were a single beauty among the green fields
Gently I walked towards thee and inhaled thy scent
Thy countenance amazed me and brought tears to my eyes
It was as if I had died and seen heaven
I moved closer to thee and whispered into thine ear
My love my gentle flower whom has taken my heart
I shall let no soul uproot thy sweet body from this place
For thou art my sweet, sweet lily
