10 things I'm thankful for

If you're an avid Oprah watcher, you've probably seen her show where she tells everyone her 50 favourite things, and then gives them away. I can't really give my favourite 50 things away, but in the spirit of being thankful and all, I can at least list some of my favourite things.

Family:
This is a typical way to start off a list, but yes, I'm thankful for my family. My sometimes embarrassing, protective and unique family. They give me advice, support and money, and I am beyond thankful for each of them for all they've ever done for me.

Friends:
I could probably give a bunch of shout outs here, but I'll just say that I could have a higher GPA and more money if it weren't for my amazing friends, and I wouldn't change a thing.

Facebook:
Face it, you love it too. Hours of creeping, relationship status updates so you know if he's actually single, or he was just saying it that night. But I can't say I'm thankful without adding a little sidebar. I'm thankful for the OLD facebook, and that's all I have to say about that.

Voting:
It's election time, for your province and for Student Union positions. I was voted into my job, so of course I love voting. Every vote counts, so do it, and if you're not informed, that's really not a hard thing to do, information is everywhere.

Fast-food restaurants being open late:
We've all been there. It's 2:30 in the morning and you find yourself on Richmond and the first thing you want to do is eat. My personal favourites are Taco Del Mar (those enthusiastic burrito rollers) and Pizza Pizza. Not once have I not loved those people for staying open late, which makes me extremely thankful.

Yellow/Purple:
These are just my favourite colours. I once wore purple for a week straight. And yellow, you try putting on a bright yellow sweater and not be chipper all day long. It even makes other people smile!

Unlimited texting:
Now this is something that I can give you. I love my unlimited texting. It's addictive, and it's even better when T9 doesn't type exactly what you want it to. Instead of going to the ‘movies,' you go to the ‘mother,' and instead of something being ‘cool,' it's now ‘book.' My unlimited texters out there know exactly what I'm talking about.

Health Care:
This is my little shout out to say that I love living in Canada and love our health care system. This is also my little FSU shout out, thanks for the health and dental coverage.

Sex And The City:
It's taken huge amounts of self control to not buy the movie, even though I've literally seen it about eight times. Don't even get me started on the seasons, I own each of them. Those ladies have taught me so much, oh the life lessons.
