Meeting Posh was ‘major'

The brand “dVb” - which stands for David Victoria Beckham - is the official trademark of Victoria Beckham's designs. Posh is also one of my favourite celebrities.

I have been a fan of Mrs. Beckham since her Posh Spice days, 11 years ago. That's right, when playing Spice Girls with my friends in grade school, I always insisted on being posh. There is no doubt that Victoria is one of the most photographed women in the world, and I have proof in the binders and binders full of magazines pictures and cover shoots, which I have collected over the years.

Victoria Adams was her birth name before marrying the perfect, athletic, smart, sexy, dreamy, toned, stylish, sweet, oh and talented, David Beckham. Not being into soccer, I can honestly say if it weren't for Victoria being with him I probably wouldn't even know who David was, but then again if I did see a glimpse of a “ridiculously” good looking person like Becks on the news I may take notice.

Despite her posh title, Victoria Beckham is a very hard working business women who has many exclusive projects that most are not familiar with. Her denim line, in which she is very hands-on, is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to her contribution to the fashion industry. Posh also has her own line of sunglasses, male and females perfumes and handbags, as well as a make-up line in Japan.

When I heard that my idol was going to be doing a signing to promote her Spring dVd denim and eyewear collections on February 26 at Toronto's Holt Renfrew, I knew I had to be there and finally meet my idol.

To officially be in the line to meet the infamous Posh you had to buy a pair of her jeans or sunglasses that had just launched at that store. Although her jeans were $235, to me they were worth it! I'd rather buy something made by her over buying a piece by Marc Jacobs. In total, I ended up waiting five hours in line. Sounds crazy I know, but once again it was worth it with many people around you to talk to.

Victoria was five minutes early for her signing at 2 p.m. As for her appearance, despite what the tabloids say about her, she is not as anorexic as she may seem in the magazines. She has a bigger head. I don't mean that in a mean way, it was as if she was big-boned, but still skinny. She looked really tired and had lots of make-up on, but still she was PERFECT!

The only way to get a picture with her was by Polaroid. The store provided them. I got her to sign a book written by her that I of course had. She signed, “love Victoria Beckham.” After the picture was taken I asked her for a hug and she said, “Of course” and then she said in her cute British accent, “Lean overa.” I actually don't remember the body contact, but I know it happened. There were massive amounts of people there, so I don't think she would have had time for everyone because she was only scheduled for an hour but stayed a bit later.

The Spice Girls had a show the night before, and the last show of the reunion tour that very night following.
