A week against the invasion of Iraq

March 19 2008 marks the fifth anniversary of the start of the Iraq War. In the last five years close to a million people have been killed on both sides of the fighting. Although the situation in Iraq is steadily worsening, the Iraqi people's plight has faded from the public's consciousness.

The Iraq War, which continues to rage on, is now being largely ignored by the media. We cannot ignore the war. We cannot forget the war. We must take a stand for peace. We must stop this war.

The London WEEK AGAINST WAR will take place March 14 to March 20 and will include a rally/march, workshops, a film festival, a concert, a road trip, direct actions, etc. and is already being endorsed by many progressive groups in London.
