Busted grow-op leaves students scrambling
Students looking to get a buzz will have to look harder after a local grow-op was shutdown.
The grow-op, located on Prosperity Court in the notorious Fleming Drive area, was discovered after a number of students contacted police citing a lack of activity at the home in nearly month.
Police arrived at the home to discover a garage and basement filled with marijuana plants.
With unmarked police cars and plain clothes officers on site, students seeing the activity began to approach the home hoping to get their weed fix.
Officers reported that students were disappointed when they were turned away, including the students who called to report the house was empty and they wondered abut the safety of the owner.
