Fall Out Boy, AeroSmith and Justin to play this summer

Summer is quickly approaching and only one thing can come to mind….concert season. As someone who goes to way too many concerts, this is my favourite time of the year. More festivals and concerts will be announced within the coming weeks, but here is a list of events to help make your summer rock.

Placebo
Kool Haus, Toronto; April 9

It's been five years since the band was last in Canada. The show was initially supposed to be held at The Guvernment, but was recently moved to the larger venue. Evaline are the opening act for the show and bound to be a great intimate show for a band of this international magnitude.

My Chemical Romance
John Labatt Centre, London; May 12

Emo dramatics are brought to the house of green. No opening act has been announced as of yet, but if you're a fan of the band, this show is a must see.

Honda Civic Tour
Molson Amphitheatre, Toronto; May 26
The show features pop-punk band Fall Out Boy with +44, The Academy Is..., and more.

EdgeFest
Molson Amphitheatre, Toronto; July 1
No details have been released yet about 102.1 The Edge's annual rock festival, but the entire Canada Day line-up will not be disappointing.

Sarnia Bayfest
Sarnia's Centennial Park; July 19-21

This annual waterfront festival is taking a bit of a different approach this year with acts such as Aerosmith, Toby Keith, and Def Leppard gracing the stage.

Rock The Park
Harris Park, London; July 26 and 27

This year's festival features classic rockers Nazareth, Deep Purple, George Thorogood and more.

Warped Tour
Park Place, Barrie; August 11

The annual punk-rock festival is back at what I still call Molson Park. This year's lineup will include Coheed & Cambria, K-OS, New Found Glory, Bad Religion, and many more.

Justin Timberlake
ACC, Toronto; August 20

What else can I say? He's bringin' sexy back to TO. I know that this sounds way too obvious, but if you're a fan, go check it out.

Virgin Music Festival
Olympic Island, Toronto; September 8 -9

This is one of the best outdoor concert venues that I have ever been to. This years lineup is sure to be a good one with more bands to be added; so far the bill features the return of The Smashing Pumpkins, Bjork, Interpol, The Killers.
