Extreme Makeover: Job search edition

So you've found the job of your dreams. You've handed in your resume and patiently awaited that much desired phone call. Your interview is all set up. All you have to do now is show up and impress.

Now you ask yourself the big question: “What will I wear?”

First impressions are everything. If you don't look the part unfortunately a possible boss might not even give you the chance to sit down.

Are you unsure if you dress appropriately for a job interview? Do you fear your wardrobe might get in the way of attaining your dream job? If that's the case, then let the Fanshawe Career Services help you out with their first ever Extreme Makeover: Job Search Edition.

Fanshawe's Career Services is holding a contest to find two students, male and female, who are willing to under go a fashion career makeover. The lucky winners will receive a new outfit, appropriate enough to wear to a job interview in their field. In addition to the new clothes, the winners will also receive a free haircut or styling, makeup for the girl, plus additional help with their resume and getting in touch with an employer they would like to work for.

This is a great opportunity for any graduating student who is still unsure of where they will be once graduation day comes.

If you are interested in this contest, keep your eyes open during Career Week, February 12-16, where you will have the chance to enter your name into the draw. On Friday the 16, a What Not to Wear fashion show will be held in Forwell Hall at noon, which will be your last chance to enter the contest.
