Angle to battle Cage for TNA title

Well, another excellent TNA PPV has come and gone and it looks like Abyss' title reign has come to an end. I guess that's ok because the story surrounding Abyss, his manager, Father James Mitchell and Sting really isn't about the world title and more about this struggle between Abyss and his dark secret and his alliances.

The NWA Champion is now Christian Cage (for the second time) and we'll be seeing a lot of Christian and Kurt Angle promos leading up to Angle's title shot at the next PPV in February. If this doesn't clue you in that Samoa Joe lost again to Kurt Angle, I don't know what more to say. It's going to be interesting to see where Samoa Joe fits in with the rest of TNA now that his feud with Angle is now over.

VKM came out during the program and declared victory over the WWE because the WWE did not respond to VKM's taunts and for not showing up at certain locations. After they said their piece, Christy Hemme came to the ring crying about how girls aren't treated or looked at the same as men in the world of professional wrestling. If you didn't see this, I'm sure it's available somewhere on the net. Once you wrestling fans see it, please write to me and give me your two cents…it was a really weird segment.

On the WWE/Raw side of things this week, it was actually a pretty good show except for the fact that we've seen the majority of match-ups two or three times already. We got the recycled Cryme Tyme vs. World's Greatest Tag Team (singles match), Victoria vs. Mickie (where Mickie came out on top again for some weird reason, burying Victoria's heel domination angle), Kenny vs. Ric Flair and more DX (minus HHH) vs. Rated RKO.

Speaking of Rated RKO vs. DX, don't you guys think that WWE should actually let it die now that HHH is out for six months? I would prefer that or at least see a new member of DX (which was hinted at during the program). I guess with Edge leaving the ring while HBK was giving Randy Orton a one man con-chair-to, the seeds are being planted for an eventual feud between Edge and Orton, leaving the tag titles up for grabs and having HBK move on to whatever his Wrestlemania storyline will be. I guess this will really all unfold at the Royal Rumble.

I'm also glad that Vince McMahon came out to the ring and was acknowledging that his Rosie vs. Trump “skit” was a bomb and one of the worst things on Raw in a long time. Did ANYONE enjoy that crap? Rumour has it that Trump is going to be coming to WWE to start some kind of feud with Vince. Need any more proof? Well, fake Trump won last week while Vince totally slammed Rosie and this week Vince and Coach were promoting “The Apprentice.” Will this “feud” stink up our wrestling program, too?

That's all for this week. I encourage all of you to make your own resolution and start writing me with your thoughts on the current wrestling scene. If I have enough interested people, I can ask a question and have your responses printed in the paper! Get going, people!
