From the Editor: London/Local Issue

Dear readers,

As students, we can sometimes find ourselves getting stuck in the familiar. Focused on classes or busy with assignments, many of us forget to look beyond our campus bubble and experience the city in which we all choose to study.

That’s where we come in. Our London/Local Issue hopes to inspire you to discover all that the Forest City has to offer. While you’re a student at Fanshawe or Western, London is your home, and so we at the Interrobang want you to get to know that home.

London is a cultural hub, an UNESCO City of Music, known around the world as the birthplace of insulin and an ecologically relevant municipality in the heart of southern Ontario.

Of course, London isn’t perfect; what city is? As residents of London, temporary or otherwise, you have the right to be critical of where you live, to question your local government and demand more from your public services. The best way to do that is by staying informed.

This issue addresses the good, the bad, and the ugly of the Forest City. From tips to finding new favourite hidden gems, to honest conversations about homelessness, our reporters are exploring it all.

What’s your favourite thing about London, Ontario? I hope you’ll consider sending in a Say it With a Bang submission letting me know! See inside this issue for more information.

Sincerely,

Hannah Theodore
