A night with “Trailer Park Boys”

Well peeps, the TV show of the last few years for college-aged adults, if you are into alcohol, weed, trailer parks, alien like albinos named “Bubbles”, true comic brilliance and awkward gay couples, has been “The Trailer Park Boys” - a true Canadian TV gem.

Sorry, I understated that! No longer are they solely a Canadian TV gem, the movie they released under the same name this year has become one of the biggest grossing Canadian films of ALL TIME!!! That is right peeps, the masses have spoken, and are apparently token,' to the comedic genius of these East Coast actor/comedians that make up the blue collar (if they were to even HAVE collars) collective that I have referred to as “The Trailer Park Boys.”

We at the Fanshawe Student Union pride ourselves in bringing the most up-to-date and hip entertainment to campus. See the track record Mo-Fo's- Bedouin Soundclash, Alexisonfire, Sam Roberts, The Trews, Staylefish, Justin Nozuka, Russell Peters, Jim Carrey, The Tragically Hip, Jimmy Swift Band, The Hoolie Snatch, Ron Jeremy, Max Weinberg and SCREECH!!!!! For the love of GOD SCREECH was here!!! Sorry, I am getting off track. A stiff So-Co (Southern Comfort, for those not in-the-know) and Coke (I mean “a-cola”), does that to me.

What I am trying to say is that…..Randy and Lahey (from “The Trailer Park Boys”) will be hanging out on the Fanshawe campus sooner than later. On Thursday, February 1, Randy and Lahey will be in full-swing, schwillin' down cheap booze and answering all your pent-up questions, as well as an autograph session, all starting at 7 pm.

Afterwards there will be a ‘Trailer Trash Pub' in Forwell Hall. Within these later festivities the two esteemed gentlemen will judge Fanshawe's “Truly Trash Awards 2007” All Tickets for both events will be for sale SEPARATELY at THE BIZ BOOTH. Look for more details on this event on posters around campus, check out the website (fsu.on.ca), as well as within the next issue of The Interrobang.

DO NOT miss out on all the cool shiznitz goin' on during Funshawe's annual WINTERCOURSE. This year appropriately titled “Snowjob.” Look for more great events during that week (January 29-February 4) on the website (fsu.on.ca), on posters around campus, as well as within this newspapers' next issue - for a full two page spread of promotional bullshit. All worthwhile, I swear.
