Social Justice: Threats to Palestine

Imagine living in a bullet-ridden, war-torn slum, completely walled off from the outside world by 60 foot concrete walls, guarded by snipers, tanks, and helicopters. You are not allowed out, if you try to leave, you will be shot and killed with the most advanced weaponry known to man. Tanks regularly patrol the streets, crushing vehicles, homes, businesses and even people. Highly-armed soldiers conduct home invasions, kidnappings, rape and murder with total disregard for human decency. There are week-long curfews where you cannot leave your house, even to get food, not even for a medical emergency. Ambulances are even targeted. There is a constant shortage of food and water. Depleted Uranium shells explode randomly at all times of the day poisoning everything. Landmines are accidentally set off by children as they play, tearing them to pieces. An extremely racist, theocratic government forcibly seizes more and more of your ancestral land every day to set up luxury Jewish-only settlements, whose inhabitants terrorize you and your people for pleasure. Homes are demolished while their inhabitants remain inside them. And you have no defense against this tyrannical occupation whatsoever. No form of resistance is tolerated. If your 10 year old son so much as throws a rock in the general direction of this occupying army he will be filled with dozens of bullets. Welcome to Hell on earth, welcome to Palestine.

Contrary to popular belief, there was peace between all faiths in the already densely-populated area of the Ottoman Empire known as Palestine in the early 20 century. It wasn't until Zionist terrorists immigrated to Palestine from Europe, with the goal of creating an exclusive, Jewish-only country, that things became violent. Zionist terrorist organizations implemented “Plan Dalet,” which aimed for the complete annihilation of all Arab and Muslim Palestinians, who constituted the vast majority of the native population. Implementing the plan, terrorist gangs such as the Haganah, the Irgun and the Stern Gang destroyed and depopulated 50 per cent of Palestinian villages in 1948 alone. This cleared the way for the Jewish-only state. There are statues of these terrorists all throughout the land they stole; they are considered the founding fathers, Zionist heroes.

Today there are over seven million Palestinian refugees around the world, who are still waiting to return to their villages, although there isn't much left of them. The state of Israel adamantly refuses to even consider allowing these refugees to have the right of return. They refuse to compensate the families, and even refuse to publicly acknowledge any wrongdoing. Instead they promote a wicked and disgusting lie; that the massacres never happened, that there were no such thing as Palestinians, and that the land was completely uninhabited before they got there. That is just as ridiculous as claiming that Hitler never killed any Jews. Zionists are genocide-deniers in their own right.

The U.S. accepts, promotes, sponsors, and legitimizes massacre after massacre committed by Israel. They use their Security Council veto power to block any form of U.N. pressure. They also give Israel over 15 million dollars a day in foreign aid that is meant to be destined to third world countries. Israel gets more U.S. foreign aid than any other country in the world yet Israelis are much wealthier per-capita than Americans are. This money is spent on American-made weapons that are used to slaughter Palestinians, and on Israel's lobbying force in Washington, AIPAC. AIPAC is by far the largest lobby group in America and has huge influence over American foreign affairs. They also dictate the way the press reports on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. To see how much influence AIPAC has in the way North American Media reports the Israel-Palestine situation come see Peace, Propaganda, and the Promised Land playing at 7:30PM Wednesday November 1st in room B1073…..
