Welcome back Fanshawe students, staff, faculty and community members to another week and issue of the Interrobang. Also, a big welcome to all the new students who are joining Fanshawe this year, the Interrobang team hopes to bring you the latest and greatest news and entertainment as possible.

To start the first official week of school, my reporters spent a good amount of time working hard to have fresh and relatable content for you to read through and stay up to date with Fanshawe and London news. In the news section, you’ll find a breaking news story about two separate incidents that happened around Thurman Circle, a popular student housing area. These two accounts with the London Police Service (LPS) is not the best way to start the school year, and raises questions of why they are happening (and keep happening in this particular area). The LPS are advising students to watch out for their safety, as well as the safety of those around them.

This issue also includes a story about what the new Fanshawe downtown campus building is all about, from the design to the classes and everything that went into creating this new place to learn, this article is a must read. Another interesting article to read though includes that of the new dean for the faculty of business, Mary Pierce and her journey at Fanshawe. Our opinion section has two thoughtful pieces to ponder about, including one about the cost and use of textbooks.

There’s also a feature about apps to help make friends in London, and one feature about neat dates spots in the city for the late summer and early fall months.

The lifestyles section includes a few movie reviews and a book review, as well as a piece on the brother-sister duo, The Reklaws, who will be coming to Fanshawe on Sept. 11 to headline the Fanshawe Student Union (FSU) frosh concert. The Interrobang spoke with the siblings to learn more about their musical career up to date.

Last, but not least, our sports section includes some interesting pieces including a car review and a story about the annual PGA Freedom 55 Financial Championship, which makes its way back to London mid-September.

That’s it for this issue, but be sure to check back again when our next issue hits newsstands on Sept 14.
