Freddie the Falcon is Fanshawe College's mascot extraordinaire and is best known for getting the crowd pumped-up during games and his having his way with the ladies of the Mighty Falcon Squad.

1. What is something about you that most people don't know?
My favorite movie is the Maltese Falcon, I love entertaining people at Falcon home games, and even I have a Myspace account! (www.myspace.com/freddiethefalcon)

2. If you were on a deserted island and could only bring one item or person with you, what would it be?
Just a camera to remember the scenery… and when I got bored I'd just fly home (I'm a falcon, remember?)!!

3. What is your greatest indulgence?
The roar of the crowd!!

4. What was your favourite television show of all time?
Falcon Beach!!!

5. Who is your favourite band/group/musician?
For some reason I'm a big fan of The Byrds and The Eagles!

6. What is the best piece of advice you've ever received?
Fly high and don't be afraid to leave the nest!

7. Who is your role model?
The San Diego Chicken!!

8. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose to live?
Falcons live mostly along mountain ranges, river valleys, and coastlines and increasingly, in cities. They are widespread throughout the entire world and are found on all continents except Antarctica. But for now I'm happy in J Building!

9. What was your first job?
Bird messenger!!

10. What is your dream job?
Fanshawe College mascot!

11. What would your last meal be?
Pizza!

12. What stresses you out?
Overtime!! And the overuse of pesticides.

13. Do you consider yourself a risk taker? If so, what is the biggest risk you've taken?
Definitely! The Peregrine Falcon is the fastest creature on the planet in its hunting dive, the stoop, in which it soars to a great height, then free falls at speeds in excess of 300 km/h (185mph)!!!

14. If you could foresee the outcome of one event or moment in your life, what would it be?
I'd rather not know in advance… just flying by the seat of my pants!!

15. What is your favourite drink?
H20!!

16. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
Chicken legs!!

17. What actor would you choose to play you in a movie?
Edie Falco!!

18. If you could have three wishes fulfilled, what would they be?
To take a ride in the Millennium Falcon, to play football in Atlanta, and to slam dunk through a ring of fire!!

19. Do you believe in love at first sight?
Maybe, but you don't see too many 6 ft fuzzy red birds around!!

20. When and where was your last vacation?
Like other Canadian falcons, I migrate to Central and South America every winter!!
