Date: Monday, September 25 2006, and Tuesday September 26 2006, 7p.m.
Venue: Air Canada Centre, Toronto, Ontario.
Tickets: SOLD OUT

Every so often rock bands or musicians come around that transcend generations and evolve their sound over several years and even decades.

Bands like U2, the Rolling Stones and Aerosmith are groups that have achieved this type of success and a band formed in the 1980's, hailing from Los Angeles California, have followed suit.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers created a sound all their own in the 1980's combining punk-rock with funk music, and despite numerous roadblocks along the way including the death of an original band member, the Chili Peppers have continued to strive to success into the 21st century.

Currently the Chili Peppers are on tour following their 2006 release Stadium Arcadium. The double-CD includes 14 tracks on each disc and is arguably their greatest accomplishment to date.

“The band's ninth studio album is the most ambitious work of its twenty-three-year career,” said Brian Hiatt in a review of Stadium Arcadium for Rolling Stone.

“An attempt to consolidate everything that is Chili Peppers, from their earlier, funnier funk-metal stuff to soul-baring "Under the Bridge"-style balladry to Californicating vocal-harmony pop.”

Although tickets for the Chili Peppers two Air Canada Centre shows are sold-out, tickets are still available for the Friday, November 3 show at the Palace of Auburn Hills in Michigan and can be purchased at www.ticketmaster.com.
