Fanshawe Broadcast Journalism students Carolyn Loconte, Ashley Denuzzo, Jennifer Cork and Brandon Piper were winners at the Radio, Television and Digital News Association annual conference in Toronto. Each student was judged against 166 entries from competing Canadian journalism programs. The students were awarded $2,000 scholarship prizes. Fanshawe students have won 65 scholarships in the program’s history. Program Co-ordinator for Broadcast Journalism, Jim Van Horne was proud of the students’ achievements. “We were so proud of the students and the way they represented Fanshawe College,” Van Horne said. “They got to talk to the people who will be hiring them one day … they enjoyed all the conference sessions.”
