Jars can neaten up your kitchen cupboards and even add a little spice to your décor!

Tired of being all boxy like everyone else? I was too, so I decided to change how I organized and stored my food.

One place where people spend a lot of time is the kitchen, making this an important place to add a little creativity and spice.

With living in rez or student housing — and just being a student in general — we do not have the privilege or thousands of dollars to create a perfectly designed kitchen to reflect our creativity.

The easiest way to add a little spice to your kitchen is to change how you store and organize your food.

My favourite way to add a little character to my pantry is to recycle those ordinary boxes and place my food in decorative jars! Jars, jars and more jars is the solution to all your ordinary kitchen dilemmas!

Some items to store in jars are noodles, tea bags, protein powder, candy, chips, any types of seeds and spices — non-perishable loose foods are the perfect items to store in your jars.

Once you have placed your food into these jars, you can always add decorative labels suitable to your taste to add even more character to your pantry.

If you are a big tea drinker like me, then you would understand the importance of having your tea easily accessible. My solution was to label all of my jars and place them on a Lazy Susan on my kitchen counter.
