No matter how busy our lives get, we always make time to watch some good quality television, and this fall is no exception. All of our favourite shows are back for a new and exciting season, along with some new shows that will surely pique our interest.

The most exciting hospital drama on television, Grey's Anatomy, ended with a huge cliffhanger last season, which could only mean the new season is going to be even more stirring. Despite a few fans who were angry about the loss of some key characters, everyone is still looking forward to see how life goes on for the remaining doctors after the fatal plane crash that ended last season.

Whether you admit it or not, Glee is a fun and uplifting show, but it certainly is going through some changes this season. For those of you who aren't caught up, Rachel and Kurt have finally moved to New York to pursue careers in fashion and Broadway. Almost every lovable couple has broken up, and there may be some new relationships in the making. There are also some new characters this season who are certainly adding a lot of excitement to the show.

Some new and exciting shows just started their first season, but have certainly left an impression. Breaking Amish, an interesting yet controversial show on TLC, is about five people from the Amish or Mennonite society that are brought to the big city of New York to see what life is like outside their sheltered community. They are exposed to alcohol, sex and all aspects of living a very modern lifestyle. Despite some rumours that the show is scripted or set up, it is an interesting look inside a very sheltered and secretive community.

For the sports fans out there, Wake Brothers on MTV is a great show about the number-one and number-three ranked wake boarders in the world, who also happen to be brothers. It's a typical MTV show that follows their lives from flirting with girls to some high flying tricks on the water. Not to mention, these are two of the funniest boys around. Phil, ranked number one, is the more businessoriented brother with several endorsements and projects on and off the water. On the other hand, Bob is really just there to have a good time.

Now The Bachelor has been around for over 15 seasons, but this is the first time the show has come to Canada. Brad, the first Canadian bachelor, has the pleasure of dating over 20 women from all over the country for several weeks until he finds "the one." This show has a little bit of everything, but certainly a lot of drama and hopefully some romance.

Despite all the new shows to keep us entertained this year, it is time to say goodbye to a few of our favourites. Flashpoint, filmed in Toronto, is unfortunately coming to an end after this season. The brave — and, to be honest, rather attractive — Strategic Response Unit team run by Ed Lain and Greg Parker have dealt with some of the most dangerous situations in the city, all while capturing our hearts and drawing us in to their problematic relationships. Jules and Sam's romance has caused quite a bit of trouble for the team over the years, but what happens this season may tear them apart for good. Now we aren't giving anything away so be sure to tune in to see how the final season plays out for the men and women of Flashpoint.

It will be a sad day when everyone's favourite guilty pleasure Jersey Shore comes to end. The Guidos and Guidettes of the Shore just started their sixth and final season. With Snooki pregnant and Mike "The Situation" clean and sober for the first time, some fans thought that the show may lose some of the drama it was so famous for. That is certainly not the case. This season will still be filled with fights, hookups and tons of partying. No one really wants to admit that they love the show, but almost everyone tunes into MTV on Thursday nights to see what the Jersey Shore cast gets up to. Unfortunately, this is the last season we get to watch!

Everyone makes time to sit and enjoy some good quality television, and this fall you will have more than enough shows to keep you and your family entertained.
