Winter Driving
London Police Service and Crime Stoppers want to remind motorists that despite what Wiarton Willie said, winter driving conditions may be with us for a few more weeks. Motrorists can best avoid collisions by following some common sense tips and remembering that winter driving is very different from driving conditions experienced in warmer weather.

An important first step in avoiding potentially hazardous situations is to leave earlier than usual to prevent having to speed to your destination. Driving slowly and leaving space when following other traffic will give you more time to react in the event of an emergency stop and clearing off all your windows, topping up the washer fluid and making sure your wipers work will give you the best possible view of the road ahead and behind. Don't be an agressive driver, be a cooperative driver.
