Give the gift of life

Beadonor.ca is a new online Service Ontario registry replacing the donor card. This may be the most important three minutes of your life: one click registers your wishes to be an organ and tissue donor. One click at beadonor.ca may save eight lives and also enhance 75 other lives. It is equally important to let your loved ones know your wishes.

Every three days, one patient who is listed for a life-saving transplant dies, as they didn't get their transplant in time. We can do better!

Steve Jobs received his life-saving liver transplant in 2009 and he changed the world for all of us with many computer and electronic inventions. Every single life saved is just as valuable, and thousands try to remain hopeful on the transplant waiting list.

As of February 24, 2012, there are currently 1,514 patients in Ontario alone who are listed for this life-saving transplant. Transplants work, they save lives!

Please join the London Transplant Gift of Life Association at the awareness registration booth for more information and to register at beadonor.ca on March 19, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. outside of the bookstore in F Hallway. Please don't forget your OHIP card.

Together we may change these statistics and give every listed patient a chance to receive a lifesaving transplant in their time of need. What a remarkable legacy this is! Please don't hesitate to contact us anytime for more information at fanshawegiftoflife@hotmail.com.
