20 Questions: Hey, where's the Beef?
Kevin Masterson, a.k.a. Beef, is the Biz Booth Manager, and also books all the comedy acts. You might also recognize him from events like Sex Toy Bingo.
1. What is something about you that most people don't know?
Secretly, I'm old and fat! Actually, I've been fortunate to have most of the same friends since grade school.
2. If you were on a deserted island and could only bring one item or person with you, what would it be?
I better play this one safe and say my fiancée Lori.
3. What is your greatest indulgence?
I'll go out on a limb and say…BEER.
4. What was your favorite television show growing up?
No question, WKRP in Cincinnati.
5. Who is your favorite band/group/musician?
My taste in music is kind of all over the board.
6. What is the best piece of advice you've ever received?
Live everyday like it is your last one. And in my shape, it could be!
7. Who is your role model?
My father. A man who my friends like to hang out with and who overcame so much to still be with us.
8. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose to live?
Right here in London of course. I'm not much of a traveler unless it's to see a kick ass sporting or comedy event.
9. What was your first job? What was your craziest job?
My first job was as a busboy at Ponderosa Steak House. But as for my strangest jobs…I've had a few of them. From DJ at a strip joint to driver for a funeral service. Not everyone is qualified to host Sex Toy Bingo after all!
10. What is your dream job?
I'm happy where I am. I like working with the students, trying to make a difference in my own twisted way.
11. What is your opinion on reality TV shows? Which one do you think goes too far?
I'm really not a fan.
12. What stresses you out?
Not too much really, “no worries” here.
13. Do you consider yourself a risk taker? If so, what is the biggest risk you've taken?
No, I'd say I'm not. Hell, I stuck around here instead of going out and getting a real job!
14. If you could foresee the outcome of one event or moment in your life, what would it be?
I would like my wake to be a huge drunken celebration.
15. If you were in a big crowd and were trying to get a celebrity's attention, what would you yell?
Well, I'm generally pretty loud so I don't think it would matter.
16. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
Nothing, I'm happy being me.
17. What actor would you choose to play you in a movie?
Since John Candy and Chris Farley are already dead, the casting director is going to have their hands full. Maybe Ethan Suplee, he's a fat boy.
18. If you could have three wishes fulfilled, what would they be?
Good health for all my family and friends. Unlimited bar tab at the Shack. Oh, and I guess world peace.
19. Do you believe in love at first sight?
I believe in lust at first sight. I think love takes some time.

I spent a week at a cottage in Bayfield this summer.
