HMV carries a large selection of DVD and Blu-ray movies, as well as a vast amount of movie-related merchandise including everything from clothing to posters to toys and fun knick-knacks.

Cinema 1
White Oaks Mall
Cinema 1 has the largest film selection in London. Foreign, classic, rare and imported movies are all available here, and if they don't have what you want they can often order it for you. Cinema 1 also carries a wide selection of Criterion films, which can be difficult to find in other stores.

The Beat Goes On

The Beat Goes On is a used movie and music store, so selection is not guaranteed as it is stocked purely by trade-ins. The Beat Goes On does carry a large selection of DVD and Blu-ray movies, and they sometimes get rare and difficult-to-find flicks — you just have to be patient and explore the racks upon racks of movies to find a gem.

Hyland Cinemas
240 Wharncliffe Rd. S.
Hyland Cinemas is London's independent and art house theater. It shows films on the big screen that play nowhere else in town. Foreign and independent films play daily at the Hyland, and the theater also often runs special screenings of cult classics.

Games

Imperial Hobbies

Imperial Hobbies carries an impressively large stock of Warhammer models and boards, as well as Dungeons and Dragons RPG and miniatures and Magic: The Gathering. This store also has an incredible variety of tabletop games including Settlers of Catan, Carcassonne, Munchkin, Illuminati, World of Warcraft, Talisman and Ticket to Ride. The store has a games room free to use for patrons and also hosts monthly Warhammer 40K tournaments.

Games Workshop carries an extensive variety of Warhammer, Warhammer 40K and Lord of the Rings models, boards and books. They also carry all the paints, brushes and landscapes you need to have the most detailed game around. Various weekly and monthly gaming events and painting lessons are also held.

LA Mood Comics and games

LA Mood Comics and Games offers a variety of role-playing games, Magic: The Gathering and HeroClix miniatures and hosts weekly Friday night Magic: The Gathering tournaments and various HeroClix events.

Grooves Record Store

Grooves Record Store is located just across the road from Citi Plaza downtown, and features the largest collection of vinyl for sale in London by far. In addition to new releases, Grooves offers hundreds of records categorized by decade, and the collection takes up over half of their store space.

The Village Idiot
133 Wortley Rd.
The Village Idiot is an especially eccentric feature in Wortley Village, just south of downtown London. Although they also carry CDs, musical instruments and other collectibles, the store is notable for having more new and used vinyl to offer than space to store it all — a real treat if you enjoy the search as much as the find.

City Lights Bookshop
356 Richmond St.
City Lights Bookshop is a store just south of King Sreet downtown with three floors of merchandise. Up on the third floor, in a room just to the left from the top of the stairs, is a modest collection of vinyl that is mainly rooted in the 1970s and '80s, but it is worth looking through for both the excellent condition and the low price of the vinyl on offer.

Sunrise Records

Sunrise Records is the only commercial franchise music store that has vinyl for sale. Mainly new releases, these albums average roughly $18 to 25 and the selection varies slightly from location to location. Sunrise also carries a great selection of movies, toys, action figures, posters and pop culture collectibles, as well as a decent selection of band, entertainment and other shirts, belt buckles and accessories.

LA Mood Comics and Games

LA Mood Comics & Games may not be the first place you think of when it comes to vinyl, but the store has dedicated some of its table space to a modest collection of new and used vinyl. In addition to all the other collectibles they have to offer, you're sure to enjoy the time you spend browsing here.

If music nerd is more your style, head just a few stores east of Heroes and you will find the London Rock Shop. You will find a huge selection of wristbands, tees and other clothing and accessories from all your favorite bands.

Backstage
Masonville Mall
Backstage has the widest selection of comic book and entertainment tees and hoodies, geeky belt buckles, pins, buttons, patches and accessories. They also have a wide variety of geeky giftware; lunch boxes, bobble heads, action figures and so much more.

While they are primarily an entertainment media store, they also have an extensive collection of belt buckles and band and entertainment shirts. The also carry a fun selection of wristbands and geek-themed jewelry.

Attic Books has a wide selection of books on subjects ranging from science to history to fitness. If you're hunting for textbooks, looking for classics or just want a light read, come here and look around. They're also known for creating a colourful showcase in their window during holidays. Don't have any money? Don't worry! Check out their box of free books, usually left out in front of the store.

City Lights Bookshop

City Lights Bookshop is home to an incredible amount of books organized by theme and description. Their employees are exceptional and can help you find a gently used textbook or an epic Star Wars picture book for your collection. Be warned: this store has EVERY book imaginable. Plan to spend a long time browsing.

G & A Book Exchange

G & A Book Exchange carries a dirt-cheap selection of fiction and non-fiction. They also buy gently used books too, so hurry up and finish your Stieg Laarson and trade it in for Ken Follett or Stephenie Myer.

Mystic Bookshop

Mystic Bookshop is a gem of a store located just east of Adelaide. It's inviting and calming just to take a gander. If you are into mysticism (e.g. palm reading, philosophy or astrology), this place has it all. They also sell incense and candles.

Mandala Bookshop

Mandala Bookshop is the quiet, serene and spacious home to a lot of mysticism writing, with a large selection of books on poetry, religious studies, philosophy, tarot cards, palm reading and much more.

Oxford Book Shop

Oxford Book Shop contains tons of interesting books and stationary supplies similar to what you can find at Chapters — but it's small and locally owned. You can find best-selling books here as well as photography books, travel books, and language learning material.

The Comic Book Collector has been in business on Dundas Street since 1979, making it London's oldest comic shop. Through its lifetime, the store has grown and now includes toys, games and statues.

Neo Tokyo The Anime Store

Neo Tokyo The Anime Store is London's only anime specialty store. Not only is it the leading distributor of manga books in the city — with an expansive collection that continues to grow — it also offers the largest collection of anime feature films for rent, anime collectibles and costume rentals.

This store is notable for the large painting of Bruce Campbell's Evil Dead character, Ash, in its front window, and for the wealth of comics and games available inside. The store is as packed full of merchandise as it is large on the inside, so leave yourself plenty of time to browse.
