Falcons prove they are All-stars; men dominate on the court

Sewell takes home honour at OCAA All-Star game
Pat Sewell of the Fanshawe Falcon men's Basketball team took home the Player of the Game award for the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) West division in the 19th annual OCAA All-Star game held at Durham College on Saturday January 21st. Sewell led the way for the OCAA West who were narrowly were defeated by the OCAA East All-Stars 111-108. Sewell contributed with 16 points and 8 rebounds. Julie Yagi and Meghan Mcpeak represented the OCAA West region, who defeated the OCAA East team in the Women's All-Star game.

Men prevail, and Women drop match to Humber
The Fanshawe Falcons Men's volleyball team defeated Humber College in straight sets (3-0) on January 26th. This win came right after a tournament victory at the Seneca Invitational where the Falcons went undefeated before beating Nippising in the championship match (2-0). Pawel Kucharski was named tournament MVP, and Ted Bowcock was named to the tournament All-Star team. The Fanshawe Falcons women's volleyball team dropped a match in straight sets (3-0) to Humber College on January 26th. Fanshawe remains in first place in the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) West division with an 8-3 record while Humber remains undefeated (9-0) and sits in first place in the OCAA Central West division.


Basketball teams trounce Redeemer

The Fanshawe Falcon men's basketball team defeated Redeemer College 72-61 on January 26th and remain tied for first place in the OCAA West division. The Fanshawe Falcons women's basketball also defeated Redeemer by a score of 91-61. The women remain tired for first place in the OCAA West division with St. Clair College.
