SAC positions filled

The six empty seats around the SAC boardroom table were filled at last week's FSU by-election, where the remaining SAC and FSU executive heard speeches from the seven candidates.

Only the VP Athletic position was contested.

Vaughn Row, who previously held the position of Human Services SAC representative, was appointed as the new VP External. Row replaces Cameron Boniferro, who resigned at the beginning of January.

Melissa Poulin won over David Lewis for the position of VP Athletics, when former VP Rajah Mayers failed to register as a student by the January deadline outlined in the FSU by-laws.

Stephen Bultinck, a first-year Police Foundations student, replaces Row as the SAC representative in Human Services Division.

Jason Miles, former Building Technology Division SAC representative, has been replaced by Alex Barker, a third-year Mechanical Engineering student.

The empty Travel and Hospitality SAC position went to second-year student Rahul Bhattacharjee.

Bhattacharjee replaces Erin Casey, who resigned because she changed programs.

The new Business Division SAC representative is Lina Widdifield, a Financial Planning student in her third semester.

Priscilla Hartman held the former Business Division position, but she resigned due to her educational commitment to a co-op placement.

Nomination submissions for next year's FSU president and VPs were accepted until January 30, and candidates will be campaigning until the Executive election held February 13-16.
